Directly opposite the pebble beach, this elegant Victorian property is ideally situated some 150 metres east of the Pier on Eastbourne's glorious seafront, boasting superb views of the English Channel. Perfectly located for the beach, pier, shops, theatres and town centre, the Marine Parade Hotel is also within minutes’ walk of the station and the Wintergarden Conference Centre, making it ideal for both business and leisure stays. In the evenings, after a long day, you can relax in the Reception Lounge, where you can read the paper, select a book from the bookcase or play cards/table games. Alternatively, you can enjoy a drink in the bar/lounge, which has stunning sea-views.

The owners, Jerome and Carol Farrow, purchased the residence in January, 2005, when it was called the St Helens Hotel. They previously owned a 7-bedroom guesthouse here in Eastbourne, which they ran successfully for 3 years. They have 3 children and have worked, in the past, in the banking/computing and insurance industries. In their first year, Jerome and Carol undertook some major improvements to the building, including a brand new fire detection system. They plan to do more next winter in the 'closed' season of January/February/March 2009. This will include completing the rewiring, and redecorating the ground floor bedrooms and public areas. A lift is available to all floors. The property is now totally non-smoking.

Comments

A non-refundable deposit equivalent to one night's stay is charged unless the reservation is cancelled within 48 hours of making the booking. All check-ins must be before 21:00, unless by prior arrangement.

Food & Beverage

Start your day with a full English breakfast, as well as juice/fruit/cereal or porridge and toast. Served from 08:00-09:00, or at other times by prior arrangement. Good traditional English food is served at dinner (18:30) with a choice of 3-course menu and served with coffee afterwards. Dinner is available only if pre-booked. Special diets can be catered for on prior request.

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.
